Sam Smith Comes To Houston’s House of Blues This Fall
Houston can rejoice as Sam Smith will be coming to us this fall! The blue-eyed soul singer will make his Houston debut at the House of Blues, a venue fit to accommodate the UK’s singer growing fan base. Smith has gained airplay in the city across various stations, with his collaboration “La La La” with Naughty Boy being his most played song. Having previously seen burlesque performer Dita Von Teese this past April on the last southern tour of Strip Strip Hooray, House of Blues will provide Smith the perfect atmosphere to showcase his talent.
Smith recently made headlines when he discussed how his upcoming album, In the Lonely Hour (slated for release on June 17th in the States) was about him being in love with a man who never loved him back. “I think I’m over it now, but I was in a very dark place,” Smith spoke about the album’s origins, even commenting that the record was a “the diary of a 21 year old.” His latest video, “Leave Your Lover,” captures that feeling well when it becomes clear Smith is longing for the man in the video.
You can catch Smith on his North American tour on his 15-city venture this fall.
