Sensibly Fresh Mix: Noisia Radio S04E12
It’s the end of the weekend, so you already know that it’s time to kick off week two of our Sensibly Fresh Mix series. This is when we delve into deliciously curated creations produced by artists all over the globe, all to get you amped for the week ahead – be it work, travel, whatever you’ve got in store.
There are few things more gratifying than scrolling through the thick of SoundCloud and finding that one epic masterpiece of a mix – and being the first to share it with your rage brigade (we all know we want to be “that friend”). This week, we’ll be diving deep into the world of Noisia Radio, a regularly scheduled show that broadcasts every weekend, each episode more ridiculous than the last. Season 4 episode 12 dives deep into the world of DnB, as is the signature style of the tremendous Dutch trio. It comes as no surprise that Noisia breaks through boundaries with their radio shows just as they do with their musical styles. This mix compiles everything from breakbeat BPMs to downtempo dub, all while maintaining a certain sinful sound that has become a staple of European bass music.
Dropping heaters like “BackDatBack” by Gangus and Tsuruda and rowdy remixes like “Vigilantes” by Noisia (Amon Tobin Remix), this one is sure to stimulate your senses and prepare you for a two-steppin’ good time. The gang also includes a listener’s submission in every airing, giving their fans a chance to take hold of the reigns for a moment. In addition to the dope tunes played beginning to end for an hour of blissful bass, the commentary really sets these shows off in a way that is truly unparalleled. These guys aren’t afraid to goof off on air, and the combination of their thick accents and profane obscenities offers the listener laughs to top it all off.
Noisia’s upcoming tour dates are almost all entirely international, with the exception of one very highly-regarded and highly-anticipated festival in Rothbury, MI by the name of Electric Forest. Things are sure to get out of control when their daring, destructive execution meets the mysteries of the wild Sherwood Forest, taking place June 21-24 and the subsequent weekend of June 28 – July 1 (Noisia will be there weekend one).
