Skrillex Gets Ready To Launch The Mothership Tour 2014.
As expected 2014 has already been a huge year for OWSLA front man Skrillex. The dynamic DJ and producer has been absolutely killing it this year. From his global Takeover Tour that shut down Brooklyn, Barcelona, Amsterdam and San Francisco, to hosting his very own AMA on Reddit and even releasing an Alien Ride video game app (with a secret folder), Skrillex has been making his presence known in a multitude of ways. With summer approaching the superstar DJ has no intention of slowing down, recently announcing the huge return of his incredibly successful Mothership Tour.
The very first Mothership Tour took place in 2011 and showcased Skrillex’s original and iconic space ship stage installation. This year’s tour will feature an entirely new live experience with brand new visual aesthetics. Just like the original Mothership Tour that boasted some amazing supporting artists like Skream and Nero, this year’s run is also loaded with talented DJs including Dillon Francis, What So Not, DJ Snake and Milo & Otis.
This Tour is going to be one of the most sought after events of the summer, and luckily for ravers who don’t live near major cities, The Mothership will be landing all throughout the country. The Mothership Tour kicks off in Austin at SXSW this Thursday, and will also hit Ultra, where Jack U is set to make their much anticipated main stage debut, and Bonnnaroo where Skrillex will host what is sure to be an amazing SuperJam session.
With so much on his plate already and a slew of new music to release, 2014 is shaping up to be Skrillex’s year. Check out the epic promo video below, in which Skrillex takes us behind the scenes to see how this massive tour came together.
