SOLARiS Live From the Brooklyn Bowl
Jam band fans prepare for a pleasurable listening experience. Earlier this year we had a chance to catch SOLARiS live at the Brooklyn Bowl, and they did not disappoint. Between the running bass lines played by Vincenzo Naro, the heartbeat-like thumping of the drums being pounded out by Daniel Lyons and the blazing synth by Jared Raphel, there is something irresistibly delicious about this trio from upstate New York.
If you ask a musician how they would describe their approach to putting together a great live performance, they will tell you that they want to take you on a journey. Well SOLARis is no different, they led us down memory lane with “Another Night” and took us deep into the rabbit hole with tracks like “Nostromo” and “Triphammer.” Between the blazing jams and the jumping crowd it’s hard to not get sucked into the whirlwind of action that is SOLARiS.
Though it’s hard to sum up a jam band in a few sentences I’d describe SOLARiS as funky nostalgia coupled with a wild ride through the cosmos of an electric trip. These guys have shared that stage with nationally touring big boys of the scene like; The Manhattan Project, Jimkata, Consider the Source, as well as the local talent. If you find yourself in the position to catch these guys jump on the bus, it will be a ride to remember.
