Sound Tribe Sector 9 Fall Tour is Coming

Coming off of their stellar two-night run at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, instrumental electronic rock outfit Sound Tribe Sector 9 will begin their Fall Tour at the Egyptian Room in Indianapolis on October 9th. The tour will come to Stage AE in Pittsburgh on October 10th and will then hit a number of cities in the Midwest and Northeast including Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, and Washington D.C. before heading south.

The tour will feature the newest addition to the band, bassist Alana Rocklin. Rocklin sat in with STS9 during its New Year’s Run this past December and first performed with the band after the departure of bassist David Murphy at Phoenix’s McDowell Mountain Music Festival this past March. This newest manifestation of Tribe has been warmly received by fans. Rocklin’s varied talents were featured most recently at Red Rocks, which allowed her to show off her standing bass skills during the band’s “Axe the Cables” set on each of the two nights the band performed there.

If you live anywhere east of the Mississippi (especially Texas, Arkansas, or Oklahoma) don’t miss your chance to see Sound Tribe Sector 9 over the course of the next few months. Later in November and December, those on the West Coast and in Colorado will have a handful of opportunities as well. See the full tour schedule here. Word on the street is that Tribe with Rocklin is the real deal, so you’re probably not going to want to pass on this.
