Spotlight AURA Music & Art Festival: The Revivalists
Aura has announced their schedule, and you won’t want be at your campsite Friday night between 6-7:15pm, because The Revivalists will be blowing out the Amphitheater.
The Revivalists are a fast-rising band from New Orleans. They formed by pure fate, and everything following has been combination of hard work, talent, and friendship. Guitarist, Zach Feinberg, and drummer, Andrew Campanelli, met first, and found their front man when they overheard David Shaw singing on his Birch Street porch. Bassist, George Gekas, and saxophonist, Rob Ingraham, fuel the rhythm section, and completing the group are Ed Williams on pedal steel guitar and Michael Giradot making appearances playing keys and/or trumpet. This band has been nonstop touring since 2007, building a recognizable reputation with their genre collaboration of jazz, funk, classic rock, and soulful songwriting. They bring a fulfilling live experience that is ever-evolving and intimate. Front man David Shaw is known for his personal performances and audience interactions.
The Revivalists are proud to have opened for notable acts such as Dr. John, JJ Grey & Mofro, and Trombone Shorty. They also often support big acts like Galactic and Rebirth Brass. Additionally, The Revivalists are becoming a regular in music festival line ups because they are such an engaging act. They have played the legendary New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, DeLuna Fest, Bonnaroo, Gathering of the Vibes, Bear Creek, and many more.
