Spring 2014 Fashion Trends
Spring has arrived, and in tow is a colorful wardrobe for the season. Bright colors are in as well as floral print – groundbreaking, I know. From vibrant dresses to handbags to shoes, and yes, menswear too, it is looking bright this season. Flip through the pages of a magazine, and you’re bound to see that ads are slowly warming up to the season of life. Darker colors are fading out as fashion designers issue out a collection for the new seasons.
Most of Massimo Giorgetti’s MSGM spring/summer 2014 collection for women is adorned with floral print. The Roses Love Skirt is a simple skirt with red and black roses that pairs well with a light blouse, such as the short-sleeved enchanted gardens voile tee from Rebecca Taylor. Zuhair Murad’s haute couture collection for spring/summer 2014 offers a mix of pink lace and white floral designs. Pop star Kylie Minogue graced Vogue Australia recently wearing a full-length nude dress with white floral embroidery from Murad’s haute couture collection.
If your local mall has an Express store, they have added new designs to their 1MX dress shirts for men. The three shirts (extra slim, fitted, and modern fit) offer a chance to look dashing for a limited time. Italian fashion house Missoni’s collection for menswear showcases casual looks, with nearly every look desired to be had. Pink has even made a comeback in various hues, with Irishman Alan Taylor designing a pair of pink gold pants.
Let’s not forget Roger Vivier’s multicolored suede heels. Even the stiletto features multiple colors wrapped around it. Eyewear is important too. Agent Provocateur by Linda Farrow offers a fairly expensive, oversized pair in cherry red and four other colors.
With spring’s arrival, it’s a great reminder to change up your wardrobe and experiment with new styles. Out with the old, in with the floral prints. Scour the Internet and shops for a look that suits you best. When the weather hits triple digits, consider a casual and cool look. Department stores are your best friend and so are outlet stores. Fashionable looks can easily be found from the cheapest shops to expensive name brands. Always remember to be comfortable with what you wear.
