SR Video of the Day: Subsonic – Com Truise
Sensible Reason favorite Com Truise dropped a video for “Subsonic“ yesterday, a track from his new EP Wave 1. The collaboration with visual artist Hans Lo could not have turned out better. Lo has completely and utterly outdone himself by impressively wedding image and sound, somehow capturing the synth freak’s 80s-induced, sci-fi bass.
Fusing Tron-like, 8-bit computer graphics with a modern sense of technology-abled psychedelic imagery, Lo’s vision is a testament to the possibilities of audio-visual creativity. By mimicking old VHS quality in an analog world of digital geometry and fleeting visions of robotic cyberspace, Lo goes to the heart of the Com Truise retro-futurist aesthetic. Completely relying on text and visualization instead of characters and specific storyline, this music video succeeds where many fail.
