This game has SUPER written all over it! This year the big game kicks off February 3rd at 6:30 inside the New Orleans Superdome! Super Bowl XLVII, or SuperBro Bowl, as it has been dubbed, is the first time in Super Bowl history that two head coaches squaring off are brothers! Jim Harbaugh’s San Francisco 49ers will take on big brother John Harbaugh’s Baltimore Ravens.
The 49ers made a huge QB change this year after Alex Smith went down with a concussion. Jim Harbaugh turned to Colin Kaepernick to lead his team to the promised land. A bold decision that was questioned by many (including myself). All I have to say now is, “Well played, coach, well played!” Kaepernick is on fire right now! Between his rifle of an arm and his legs, he will be a nightmare for the Ravens’ defense. Then you have Michael Crabtree and Frank Gore to deal with! Without question, the 49ers’ defense will have to play perfectly– there will be no room for error! David Aikers needs to step up his game and bang all his kicks through the up rights. If not, he could cost his team a win. For me, the key to a 49ers victory will be to get the ball to Vernon Davis on the edge and let him run wild!
Not to be outdone by his little brother, John Harbaugh made a big change of his own. Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron was fired and the reins turned over to Jim Caldwell. Huge fan of this move! Jim turned Joe Flacco loose and the offense exploded! Ray Lewis will lead his defense into battle one last time, a battle that needs to played like the perfect chess match. With Joe Cool’s hot arm and some hey diddle diddle Ray Rice up the middle action sprinkled in, it will ensure their Super Bowl victory!
I am going to go with The Baltimore Ravens on this one. I think big brother John’s team will take home the Lombardi Trophy as well as bragging rights at the next family gathering!
