Suwannee on the Brain: Hulaween Announces 2018 Dates and Hints Headliners
It’s almost unfathomable to recognize that this will be the sixth year of the beloved and cherished Halloween gathering known as Hulaween, taking place again at its rightful home, The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. The fully-immersive weekend-long music and art festival has been hosted by none other than the ultimately unique String Cheese Incident since its birth in 2013, and we can’t possibly wait for another iteration of this infectious event.
Just the other day, the Hulaween Facebook page released the announcement we’ve all been on the edge of our seats for – the official dates of Hula 18′. Fans far and wide, old and new will flock to the forested grounds of SOSMP Oct. 26 – Oct. 28 of 2018, and rest assured the Hula team will announce a bangin’ pre-party soon enough.
Although there is nothing officially published about the phase one lineup or headliners thus far, Suwannee Hulaween has sneakily dropped us a hint in regards to one act, and we really hope this isn’t a fake-out…The bottom right-hand corner of the 2018 graphic shows the silhouette of the “Buffalo Man” logo – a self-designed symbol representing Jay Kay of Jamiroquai, that first appeared on the band’s debut album Emergency on Planet Earth.
If you aren’t familiar with the name Jamiroquai, they are a British funk and jazz band hailing from London that originated in 1991 and is composed of musicians that play a wide array of instruments. Although the band has undergone some personnel changes over the years, their infamous ability to revolutionize has remained a constant since the band’s birth. The current members of Jamiroquai are as follows: Jay Kay (lead vocals), Derrick McKenzie (drums), Sola Akingbola (percussion/backing vocals), Rob Harris (guitar), Matt Johnson (keyboards), Paul Turner (bass), and Nate Williams (keyboards/guitar).
All Weekend, VIP, Pre-Party, Car Passes, Upgraded Camping and other Add-On tickets go on sale Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 11 AM EST / 10 AM CST!
We’ll see you at home, Hulaween lovers!
