We recently presented ticket and collaborator information for the Symbiosis Oregon Eclipse event that is going to take place next summer from August 17th to 23rd, but what was lacking was an actual venue location. The family at Symbiosis was teasing their audience a bit, not readily releasing the info regarding their venue location, but alas, now we have the information and it is exciting news. Next year’s event will be at Big Summit Prairie in the Ochoco National Forest in Oregon. Big Summit Prairie happens to be a private ranch that is over 55,000 acres, but that isn’t even the best part. Flat ground is what this land offers as well as shady, forested areas and a large 52 acre lake. Symbiosis attendees know what the means… Tons more art boats and floats!
With all of this land, people are already buzzing about the potential that this brings to the event. We all know that flat, shaded land is a blessing; especially in festival culture. If you add a water source to the mix, things start to sound a little bit like heaven. In addition to this blessed piece of land, the nearest neighbor to Big Summit Prairie is 16 miles away which means that sound is going to go long and hard. What a relief… No one to complain about the volume of the stages when everyone is trying to get down as hard as they can.
Experience Passes will go on sale on November 3rd at 11:11am PST. On Nov 11th at 11:11pm PST the sale will end and tickets won’t be available again until 2017. This will be your chance to get Super Duper Early Bird tickets at the lowest price available. Remember, if you can’t afford tickets when they go on sale, take advantage of theparticipation applications that are live on the Symbiosis website right now. Volunteering is a great way to meet new friends, meet new connections, and get into the festival by working for your ticket. The Oregon Eclipse might not be until August 2017 but we have already marked it on our calendars and are anxiously awaiting its arrival. Don’t miss out, this is one gathering that’s bringing in the big guns from other highly admired international festivals.
