The Big Up brings Kung Fu and Jeff Bujak to the Brooklyn Bowl
The Brooklyn Bowl was bouncing last night for The Big Up Music & Arts Festival Satellite Party. Jeff Bujak opened the evening with his experimental solo keys act. Then Kung Fu tore through a set list of cult favorites and new tracks set to appear on Tsar Bomba, due out early this summer. Consider the Source’s Gabriel Marin joined on his signature double-neck fretless guitar for Billy Cobham’s “Stratus,” trading licks back and forth with Kung Fu’s Tim Palmieri, andtaking a mind melting solo. Switching gears in the other direction, Soulgrass banjo player, Ryan Cavanaugh, took the stage during “Paragon” and “Scrabb”. You can catch Kung Fu May 23rd at Hard Rock Café in Philly, May 24th at Rooster Walk in VA and May 25th at 8×10 in Baltimore for the All Good Pre Party.
