TOTD: Mr. Bill & Zebbler Encanti Experience – “$ATTN”
The master collaborator – Australian producer Mr. Bill – is at it again; this time, with the ever-evolving Zebbler Encanti Experience.
“$ATTN” – from the album Corrective Scene Surgery – is a frantically transforming tapestry of bass music, pieced together with cascading layers of contorted sound design and glitched-out blast beats. Representing a meticulously edited convergence of breaks, trap, twerk, and IDM, this production sets a precedent for progressive electronic music that mutates freely without losing form.
Both artists, and their individual musical styles, are prevalent in this track without one overshadowing the other. The transitions are flawless and ZEE’s signature psychedelic bass beats and liquid synth sounds compliment Mr. Bill’s experimental dubstep and glitch hop. Both artists exhibit the uncanny ability to effortlessly transition from one musical extreme to the next, taking the listener on an extraterrestrial roller coaster ride.
