Review: Le Castle Vania – Feels Like Fire EP (Electro House)
“To make Skrillex look like a wallflower” is the goal of superstar producer Le Castle Vania, whose Feels Like Fire EP comes out today on Deadmau5‘s Mau5trap label, as well as his own label Always Never. For those of you into sleazy electro, this is one you’re going to want to check out.
The EP starts with an ecstatic sequel to 2009’s ‘Nobody Gets Out Alive‘, a tune with his signature heavy-glossy electro style. Dylan Eiland continues to release much of his music for free to the masses, and you can grab a free download of Part 2 right here.
My favorite tune off the EP, ‘Come Together’, is next. It combines vocals from singer Mariana Bell with screaming acid house. Bell returns on the next track ‘Moving Away’, an electro-dubstep tune featuring fellow Atlantan producer MUST DIE. The closing track ‘Driving Away’ ends the EP on a more chilled out tip; the perfect tune for when you’ve packed your tents and easy-ups into your car and are pulling away from a festival Monday morning.
