STS9 to Stage a Halloween Performance of “The Great Cycle Spectacles” in Philadelphia
On Wednesday, October 31 STS9 returns to Philadelphia to perform “The Great Cycle Spectacles” at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, right outside of the city. It has been a little over a year since STS9 last appeared in the Philadelphia area. The show will mark STS9’s first appearance at the Tower Theater, an intimate venue which staged its first show in the early 1970s. True to its name, the Tower has the feel of a theater of an earlier era with its rows of burgundy-colored seats on the ground level and balcony, grand wall paneling, and Greco-Roman styled pillars. Offering quality views from all seats and fantastic acoustics, the Tower is sure to please. The spirit of the beautiful Tower Theater will come to life during what is sure to be a stellar presentation of one of STS9’s “Great Cycle Spectacles.” Merging music, lights, and images played on a pyramid constructed of numerous LED screens, it is an astounding experience for all the senses. As “Spectacles” is a series of unique performances honoring the end and beginning of the Mayan calendar cycle, it should appropriately imbue the evening with an aura of the supernatural.
Kap10 Harris, a DJ who has opened for Pretty Lights in the past, will start off the evening.
