Trombone Shorty Heads to Long Island to Play The Space at Westbury
Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue will be performing this Friday on Long Island at the newest music mecca east of NYC, The Space at Westbury. Trombone Shorty will be complimented by the musical stylings of Orleans Avenue, Shorty’s longtime band featuring guitarist Pete Murano, bassist Mike Ballard and drummer Joey Peebles. The four will grace the Westbury stage, bringing in some true New Orleans funk, jazz, and hiphop– a great mix that shows the group’s strong and varied roots in the Louisiana music scene.
Opening for the band will be the London Souls, who Sensible Reason recently caught performing with the band Soulive at Brooklyn Bowl, forming the mash-band London Soulive. We’re excited to check out this band perform again alongside legendary funk band, Trombone Shorty! The London Souls consider themselves rock and roll and comprise of New Yorkers Tash and Chris.
