True Music Xperience And Relentless Beats Announce Bi-annual Phoenix Lights Festival
Phoenix Lights Festival, a brand new festival experience taking place at Civic Space Park in Phoenix, Arizona, has announced its date for the inaugural event. Co-produced by True Music Xperience, the team behind 2013’s True Music Festival and preeminent dance festival producers, Relentless Beats, the one-day festival will take place on March 22, 2015. Setting the tone for what fans can expect, Phoenix Lights has also announced Hardwell as its first headliner. The Dutch electro house superstar was recently voted to the top slot of DJ Magazine’s annual Top 100 DJ poll for the second year running. With a new record being released at the end of the month, fans can expect big things from his show this spring. The full lineup will be announced in the coming weeks.
“With Phoenix Lights, we wanted to take the experience well beyond just the music” says festival organizer Jarid Dietrich. “Our partnership with Relentless Beats elevates what fans can expect, from world class musical talent to incorporating other sensory elements that focus on the theme of light.”
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring this concept to the city of Phoenix” says Relentless Beats founder Thomas Turner. “Phoenix Lights will be something that fans will look forward to for years to come.”
The multi-stage festival will be held at Civic Space Park, an urban setting in Downtown Phoenix. The space, which first opened to the public in April 2009, is located directly across from the ASU Downtown Campus and near the Central Station METRO Light Rail and bus transfer stations. Drawing inspiration from the park’s centerpiece, a sculpture called Her Secret Is Patience and comprised of fiber nets that illuminate at night, the festival will include art installations from by over 30 local artists. Using light as the primary form of expression, fans can expect cutting edge visuals, unique stage design, interactive experiential installations and more. This theme, which was inspired by the infamous UFO spotting nearly 20 years ago, will be a constant through out the grounds and through the performances.
