Verboten Opens New Club in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
New York’s hottest new club is Verboten. The veteran party promoters have been bringing top names in house and techno to the city for over a decade, and they finally have a permanent home of their own located in northern Williamsburg near other relatively new musical destinations, Brooklyn Bowl and Output. The 10,000 square foot former metal shop comes equipped with a state-of-the-art Martin Audio sound system, panoramic video walls, and an adjacent bar, which can operate in conjunction with the main space or independently as a venue for anything from art shows to children’s musical education. The space will also offer a small plates menu in the near future.
To inaugurate the space,Verboten has booked a stellar lineup of luminaries like Gui Boratto, Jamie xx, and Magda over the next couple of weeks. It all kicks off this weekend with Rebel Rave Friday (3/14) and Wasabassco Burlesque Saturday (3/15). Friday’s party kicks off at 10pm and is $30, while Saturday’s show is free with RSVP.
