Win Tickets to Untold and Pearson Sound!
Untold and Pearson Sound come to Output on Sunday, May 18th to envelope Brooklyn in a blanket of UK Bass, and Sensible Reason is providing a way for you to see them both for free. If you would like a chance to win, enter now to win tickets to hear Untold and Pearson Sound live!
Untold is a producer and DJ who has produced remixes for such big names as The XX, José James, Ke$ha, Boys Noize and Moderat. Pearson Sound, known for his Maurice Donovan and Ramadanman aliases as well, has a long, storied history in the UK house and techno scene. Currently 1/3rd of techno label Hessle Audio, Pearson Sound will be the perfect support on this evening. I can’t wait to see everyone at Output next Sunday!
Untold’s minimalistic, moody approach to bass music is infused with grime, jungle, and more recently techno. He just released his newest EP, Black Light Spiral, to a hugely positive response. Fire trucks, heart monitors, air raid sirens, police cars, ambulances wail in a creepy, haunting loop that sound like the beginning of an apocalypse, but the release relaxes and lets its minimalistic approach take over. The sub bass will not be walloping you here, instead it is the negative space that shines as the release’s more ambient sections take over. You will not be disappointed in hearing these tracks live!
Similar to Untold, Pearson Sound has made his name lately on the blend of dubstep, house, garage, and techno driving the UK club scene. He has his own release on the storied mix series FabricLive, has lectured for Red Bull Music Academy, and he has DJ’d worldwide, an activity that has slowed down his usually frantic output of music in 2014. “Starburst,” released late 2013, is one of my favorite tracks from Pearson Sound as of late.
Come to Output next Sunday for their signature high quality sound and quality drinks. As Untold says, “If your chest ain’t rattlin’, it ain’t happening!”
