Yoga at MAYfest: Jessica Bellofatto
MAYfest is pleased to welcome the accomplished and adventurous Jessica Bellofatto. Jessica began teaching yoga in 1997 after completing her teacher training at the Jivamukti Yoga School in New York City. She has also studied Anusara, Iyengar, and Ashtanga yoga extensively and is currently working toward a certification in Ashaya yoga. Jessica is currently the owner and director of KamaDeva Yoga in East Hampton, NY. She is a practicing doula and a mother of three.
Jessica is an explorer and athlete who loves the nature and the outdoors. When she is not doing yoga, Jessica is also a triathlete, avid surfer, and pioneer of stand up paddleboard (SUP) yoga in the Northeast United States. Jessica combines these interests by leading yoga and SUP retreats to exotic locations several times each year. Previous excursion locations include Italy, Panama, the Maine coast, Puerto Rico, and more.
Jessica’s mission statement is “to support your healing as you charter your own course to happiness (joy is our birthright and our true nature).” She is bringing both SUP yoga and a Yoga and the Five Elements class to MAYfest to help fulfill this mission and lead you closer to joy.

Jessica will be leading flowing vinyasa classes on paddleboards in the middle of beautiful and serene Surprise Lake. Her SUP yoga classes will challenge you to modify familiar yoga poses and sequences to accommodate a new force in your practice, namely water. The outdoor setting of these classes will leave you inspired and refreshed. Jessica’s SUP yoga classes are welcoming to all levels, including beginners. The classes may include chanting, meditation, pranayama, and savasana with your hands resting in the water. Don’t forget your bathing suit and sense of adventure!

For yogis who prefer land based classes, Jessica is also teaching an intermediate level Yoga and the Five Elements class. This class is an alignment based vinyasa flow class during which you will learn to align yourself with the five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and space. Alignment with these five elements can provide more balance and harmony in your everyday life. Jessica will teach you how to work with each element during your asana practice with the end goal of connecting more deeply with the world around you. Jessica weaves poetry, music, and aromatherapy into this stimulating flow. This class may also include chanting, hands on assists, and meditation.
Join Jessica’s MAYfest SUP yoga and Yoga and the Five Elements classes to connect with nature and to find your inner happiness and strength.
